Scam of a Company

I was doing some research on an Orlando car rentalcompany for a friend of mine. He had gone there with his family on vacation and had nothing but problem’s with his rental car. Nothing in it was working properly and he had even had to change a tire while he was driving it.
When he returned it to the Orlando rental carsoffice, he explained to them all of the problems that he had experienced with the vehicle. They proceeded to tell him that the car was fine when he picked it up and they gave him a hefty bill for all of the repairs that were going to have to be made to the car.
I did a quick search on this particular rental car Orlando company and I was surprised at how many other people have had similar run ins with the company. It seems that they buy cheap cars with problems and then somehow make it the renters fault, therefore, not having to pay for repairs themselves.
My friend got a lawyer and called the Better Business Bureau. The company then called and apologized to him and told him that they would refund the total amount of his rental and repairs if he would rescind on his cal to the BBB. He said that he would not, as they would just do it to someone else.
