No one can blame you for wanting to use a great tanning lotion. A hot tan is a great summer asset and there’s no fault in wanting to have one. • Look for animal-friendly products. Animal testing is bad for the creatures that live on this earth.

• Recycle or re-use the bottle. Be careful with re-use since the tanning lotion can impact whatever you’re using it for. Making art out of the bottles is one idea. Buying recyclable bottles is another one.
• Know what’s in your suntan lotion. Natural products are typically better for the environment than chemical products. Of course, you don’t want to use a suntan lotion that includes rare natural products because then you’re risking plant life. Look for a balance.
