Dahn Yoga May Benefit Those with MS
By Lamp in Health | 0 comments
Dahn Yoga has been proven to help many people live happier, more productive lives. But interestingly enough, those with multiple sclerosis have seemed to particularly benefit from this style of yoga.
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is an autoimmune disease that affects the central nervous system, which consists of the brain, spinal cord and optic nerves. This disease can manifest as loss of balance and coordination; weakness or tingling in the limbs, especially the legs; sensory problems, and other symptoms. Needless to say, MS can severely disrupt your normal life.
However, Cathy Downie, an Arizona MS sufferer and Dahn yoga instructor, swears she has personally experienced the healing powers of Dahn yoga. Cathy also attests that other people with MS, who consistently attend her classes, have reported greater flexibility, pain relief, reduced stress and “a sense of regaining control of their lives.”
So, if you have MS and are not in the Phoenix, Arizona area to attend Cathy’s classes—no worries! You can now practice Dahn yoga in Chicago, New York, or anywhere else in the world. You can even experience the benefits of Dahn yoga in California because Cathy has inspired a DVD version of her class available to anyone with MS who wants to live a healthier lifestyle.
