Arts and Crafts

Arts and Crafts are a great way to keep the kids busy during the long month’s home during summer vacation. Maybe even the mother of the house can enjoy some time to work on projects she has been thinking about. Stores like Michael’s and JoAnn’s are full of great ideas for kid crafts. It can be difficult coming up with things for the kids to do other than watching television or fighting with each other.
With the aid of a business card cutter, the kids could make magnets by coloring or painting the cards and adding magnetic tape to the back when dry. Take old pictures of the kids and use a corner rounder to create magnets for grandparents or a favorite aunt or uncle. The kids could decorate envelopes to send their crafts to their loved ones. Making a collage with magazine cut outs to be glued onto poster paper. Using a papercutter, the kids could glue stripes together into links make decorations for parties and summer celebrations.
Being creative and planning ahead can help your arts and craft efforts. The materials you need to spearhead a project are worth it if it means keeping the kids busy for hours.
