Ways to Pimp Out Your Pickup
By dgLamp in Automotive | 0 comments
When I worked at an aftermarket auto parts store, there were always guys coming in buying things to pimp out their pickups. (Of course, this was in 1999 and 2000, when gas prices were low and driving pickup trucks was cheap!) Here are some fun ways that you can add style and flare to your truck.
- Fender flares. Many stock fenders are straight and boring. Fender flares add a little curve and make them stick out a little more, which also helps to balance the appearance if you put bigger wheels and tires on the truck.
- Running boards. Some people like the look of running boards, and some don’t. But if you like tough-looking (and practical!) accessories on a truck, chances are you will like them! There are many different styles to choose from, some sleek and some utilitarian, so take your time and browse before deciding you don’t like the look.
- Headache racks. Essentially a headache rack protects the back window of your truck from getting smashed in, and therefore protects your head from getting smashed in too. If you haul a lot of heavy stuff, such as construction equipment, or if you four-wheel a lot, this may be a practical addition to your truck. Regardless, a truck with a headache rack looks bigger and tougher, and is generally taken more seriously than one without.
Whether you want your truck to look tough or sleek and sexy, there are many ways to give a pickup a custom look. These are just a few for you to consider. Have fun shopping!
